The Fathers of Mercy will host "Visitation Weekends" every month from October 2006 through February 2007 for Catholic men ages 18-40 who would like to discern their vocation to the priesthood or permanent unmarried diaconate. These "Visitation Weekends" will take place at the Congregation's Generalate located in Auburn, Kentucky.
The Fathers of Mercy, an intinerant missionary preaching Religious Order based in Auburn, KY has opened its application process for its February 2007 Postulancy Class for Catholic men ages 18-40 who would like to apply to the Community. Applicants for this class must first complete an initial visit to the Fathers of Mercy at their Generalate House in Auburn, KY before they can take part in the application process. Converts to the Catholic Faith must be Catholics for at least three years before they can apply to the Community. The next Postulancy Class being offered after the February 2007 class will be in June 2007.
The Fathers of Mercy are looking for good, faithful, solid, holy and dedicated men to join their Community. The Congregation is made up of itinerant missionary preachers who preach parish missions, retreats and devotions throughout the United States and Canada. Recently, too, the Fathers of Mercy have been called to preach in Austrailia and England.
In addition to their preaching apostolate, the Fathers of Mercy also assist bishops with the staffing of rural parishes. The Congregation staffs three such parishes in Kentucky: two in the Archdiocese of Louisville and one in the Diocese of Owensboro.
