2008 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award Recipients

Saturday Mass, Banquet, Award Ceremony & After-Dinner Address. Following the 4:00 PM Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago, the IRL will host a banquet dinner at which Jerome and the late Gwen Coniker, will receive the 2008 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award. Mr. and Mrs. Coniker founded the APOSTOLATE FOR FAMILY CONSECRATION (AFC) to nourish families through the Catholic faith in the Eucharistic and Marian spirit of Pope John Paul II.

This annual award is bestowed upon individuals who manifest a strong love for the Church and a zealous commitment to the consecrated life. Through the AFC, the Conikers began the Catholic Corps, comprised of single, apostolic, celibate lay men and women who devote their lives to serving the Church through the international work of the APOSTOLATE.

Following the award ceremony, Rev. Brian Kolodiejchuk, M.C., postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, will give the after-dinner address.
